When the company I ordered from chased Hermes they said the delivery vehicle was off the road so they hadn't been delivering to my area all week. It seems there is no way to put a note on the system about a problem at their end so they mark it as failed delivery.
I contacted H&M directly as I couldn't figure out how to get in touch with actual customer service for Hermes and they said they will look into it. A day or two later, they told me the package was lost and gave me a refund. Hermes then randomly delivered the package about a week or two later.
