new rolex running fast | rolex accuracy chart new rolex running fast New rolex running VERY fast Hey guys, I have a three month old DJ II that is running 8 seconds fast per day. The watch is through it's break in period and I set it to the atomic clock two nights ago with these results.
Las Vegas is balmy by day and pleasantly cool at night in the spring and fall. March is probably the busiest month, but April to June and September to November are nearly perfect. High season does mean hotel and ticket prices soar, though. Low season (June to August) is the cheapest (but hottest) time to visit.

The best way to slow a Rolex, according to Rolex, is to store the watch CROWN UP at night. The second best way to slow a Rolex is CROWN DOWN. I'd argue with a brand new mechanical watch it is most likely to run a bit fast, being all new, friction free and well lubricated.

The watch is through it's break in period and I set it to the atomic clock two nights ago with these results. Modern Rolex watches have either two or four regulator screws on the balance wheel. In order to adjust the time, the screws are turned in (makes the watch run faster) or turned out (makes it run slower). The good news is that if your Rolex is running fast or slow, you can try using gravity to your advantage to see if it helps adjust its accuracy. This is an easy fix that is worth trying before exploring other ways. The best way to slow a Rolex, according to Rolex, is to store the watch CROWN UP at night. Having heard about a break-in period for a brand new Rolex, I've worn it for a month now. The rate is quite stable, but it runs slow at about -5sec/day. With the Superlative COSC, I expect it to be around +-2sec/day. I have a brand-new Sub 114060, which as many will know has the 3130 movement inside. So far it's been running about -1.5 sec/day on average. This is within Rolex's own specification, so I don't see it as a problem, but I'd of course prefer it .
Rolex uses a precision engineered Parachrom hairspring. Their watch movements are also COSC certified which means that the timepiece will deviate no more than -4 to +6 seconds a day. There are several reasons why your watch might be running fast or slow.
HELP: New Rolex running +6 seconds / day. I recently purchased a datejust and noticed that it is running +6sec/day fast. This is outside of Superlative Chronometer Certification standards of +/- 2 seconds / day.
