My top choice is the Goyard Matignon PM (I also really want a St. Louis tote but am afraid of all the bad reviews) but I wasn’t sure how their wallets wear.
I live in Australia, there is no Goyard boutique. Only option is to return to Korea within 12 months to have it fixed. Also don’t be naive like me, I truly trusted Goyard’s commitment to quality workmanship and did not inspect the bag thoroughly.
I have been doing some research and I’ve read that the goyard melts and wears very easily. (I live in a very humid country) A lot of mixed reviews online as well which made me ponder whether it is worth investing k for a Goyard. It’s definitely an “if you know, you know” kinda wallet. Most people will think it’s just an colorful patterned wallet, but a real Goyard wallet is hella expensive and can only be purchased in very few Goyard stores around the world, unless you buy secondhand obviously. I love my Goyard bag, wallet & pouch. They wear like iron, and you don’t have to worry about wearing your bag if it’s raining. I’ve never needed a repair so can’t comment. Picked up a couple items yesterday (July 9, 2022) at Paris St Honore: Artois MM in Tan: 1600 EUR. Passport holder in green: 530 EURO. Artois PM in Black or Tan sold out. Anjou PM in Black or Tan also was sold out. c18027 and Swanky.
Has anybody from Australia recently ordered from one of the international Goyard boutiques, such as Paris? I received an email with a shipping quote of 255 euros from the Paris store, trying to ascertain whether this includes Australian customs taxes (GST/duty) or if that will be extra. Thanks!
